The annual event showcases the vast, diverse cuisine available in Punta Cana, and is a treat for gourmet food enthusiasts and lovers of fine wines.
There will be tastings, cocktail receptions and special food events on both days.
A highlight of this year’s Festival will be Chilling and Grilling on Saturday, July 2nd at Little John Beach, featuring a selection of grilled meats by world-famous Argentinian chef Juan Barcos of La Cabrera fame. Barcos has helped put La Cabrera in the list of Top 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America. Chilling and Grilling begins at noon.
That evening, wine lovers will have the opportunity to learn about wines from over ten countries during Wines and Pleasure: World Experience with sommelier Fedor Agelan of Santo Domingo’s Vinoabeber Naco.
The grand finale of the Punta Cana Food & Wine Festival is the Grand Tasting at the Barcelo Bavaro Convention Center. Major hotels and restaurants from the area will provide the chance for visitors to sample the best haute cuisine and local Caribbean specialties.
Punta Cana Food & Wine Festival is organized by marketing agency Creato RD, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Asociacion de Hoteles de la Zona Este.
