A Visit to Alcázar de Colón

A Visit to Alcázar de Colón

The Alcázar de Colón, or Columbus Alcazar, located in Santo Domingo, and forms part of the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo World Heritage Site. It is located at the east end of the enormous Plaza de España, overlooking the Ozama River. Built in the 16th century, it was initially the home of Diego Colon, the son of Christopher Columbus. This building is a must-see!

I took a few days to check out the Colonial Zone with my friend Encarni, she’s just moved here from Sevilla.
